WE'RE HIRING: Film Editor / Video Editor

We are seeking the help of a creative and talented video/film editor to help us continue telling the stories through the feature films and TV series we produce. This is a full-time position based in Sotkamo, Finland, at our Kajawood Studios. Your projects will range from feature films to TV series to short films. You can contribute your creative vision to help shape the productions through editing.

What will you be doing:

- Working within the creative team to concept, record, and edit film footage to a high standard.
- Iterating on video content drafts in response to directors’ views.
- Manage and oversee technical aspects of video recording and editing.
- Strategizing, conceptualizing and designing video-based content for films together with the production team.
- Executing imaginative, appealing visuals with great attention to detail and delivering to agreed deadlines.
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film.
- Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects, creating rough and final cuts.
- Consult with stakeholders from production to the post-production process.
- Using software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro, and other professional editing tools to make creative timelines that deliver great content.

- Adhere to the visual, editorial, and technical standards developed by Kajawood Studios.

Skills and Requirements:

- Three (3) plus years of experience as a Video / Film Editor creating various visual content.
- Ability to create eye-catching, engaging, and dynamic videos.
- Ability to work independently, show initiative, and work collaboratively and positively with others.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver to deadlines in a fast-paced, creative team.
- Experience in Editing Software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Audition, and After Effects).
- A keen eye for editing, transitions, and working with multiple visual artists and directors.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude, able to give and receive constructive feedback.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate and take instructions from directors.
