The Creeps
THE CREEPS, written and directed by Marko Mäkilaakso (Bordertown, War of the Dead, It Came from the Desert) and produced by Miika J. Norvanto of Black Lion Pictures and Timo Puustinen (Rendel) of Frozen Flame Pictures. Raven Banner is handling worldwide sales of the film.
The film will feature legend Christopher Lambert (Highlander, Greystoke, Mortal Kombat) along with Chris Cavalier (Hidden Figures, Teenage Bounty Hunters), Iiro Panula (Born in Heinola, Bordertown) and also featuring Joe Dante (Director of Gremlins), and William Daniels (Original Knight Rider´s KITT-voice).
MARKO MÄKILAAKSO’S ACTION-HORROR FILM
The Creeps tell the story of two American youngsters who prepare for the celebration at Monsterfest, an event in the skiing center of Vuokatti, Finland. However, the party is interrupted when a group of small critters takes over the place.
”The Creeps will be straight down the pipe fun popcorn movie, and it’s insanely cool that the Highlander himself, Christopher Lambert, Chris Cavalier, and all the other actors are in this fun adventure with us”, said director-screenwriter Marko Mäkilaakso.
The creatures are designed by Disney-veteran Barry Atkinson (The Lion King, Heavy Metal, An American Tail, The Land before time).
”We are thrilled and excited that we got to produce The Creeps with Mäkilaakso. We have been planning a film together for a long time now”, stated producer Norvanto. “Having Christopher Lambert be a part of this film is truly a dream come true in many ways”.
”We finally get to produce a genre that is so close to my heart and which I miss from my childhood—1980-90’s nostalgia, action, comedy, and innocence. Pure unexcused entertainment”, producer Puustinen adds.
